London love

As I told you in my previous post, I was in London last week to have some time off with my friends. We stayed for 4 nights and it was just amazing! It was the first time I visited London, because I always chose other cities over London… (shame on me!). But now that I’ve been there, all I can say is that I will definitely go there again! Let’s take a look at what I did there and at some must-visits!

Brick Lane

On Sunday we went to the market in Brick Lane, that is situated in East London. Here you can find delicious food of all cultures, second hand goods (if you look closely you can spot some real treasures!) and nice little shops. The atmosphere was great and you won’t get bored in here! Brick Lane used to be known as the crime scene of Jack the Ripper, but nowadays this place is very popular among young Londoners seeking success, by selling their handmade clothes or food and playing music.

Covent Garden

Covent Garden is a district in the City of Westminster, which is mostly known for its covered area called the Covent Garden Market. Covent Garden Market is a great place for everybody who loves to shop and likes some entertainment. I especially remember the opera singers who were standing downstairs, spreading their amazing voice all over the market. You can also find the famous Shake Shack burger restaurant here, that I will certainly visit next time I’m in London (since we already ate when we were there :( ). But also the outdoor parts of Covent Garden seemed very nice, especially during summer! I can already imagine myself sippin’ my Martini in the sun after shopping, haha guess I’m a real dreamer. ;) But I think it’s safe to say that this was my favorite place in London: super nice shops, good food and a great atmosphere. A must-visit!

Along the River Thames

The last night of our stay we visited the typical sightseeings that are located along the Thames. We started with the London Eye, the Big Ben and Westminster Abbey (which is not next to the water but super close by). After getting some group pictures taken by a Chinese man we went to see the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge, where we had an amazing view. It was already dark outside and the lights were so beautiful! Let the pictures speak for themselves…
