It’s important to take care of your body, not only when your skin can be dry during the winter, but also when it’s exposed to a lot of sunshine during the summer! Every season I have some skin care favorites, some remain, some change. That’s why I thought it’d be fun to share my current favorites with you.

First of all it’s important to protect your skin for the sun. Yves Rocher came up with these 2 sprays to protect against the sun. The first one is an oil that provides a medium protection (15 SPF). You can use this one on your body, but also on your hair, which is really cool I think. I already used this one but only on the tips of my hair to be sure to avoid greasy hair, since it’s still an oil. The other spray is for a better protection of the skin and is 30 SPF. Personally I mostly use oils on my legs since they tend to be more dry during summer, so these two products are perfect for that!

For my face  I use the Soleil Divin by Caudalíe, which is 50 SPF. This facial cream protects and hydrates. I combine it with their Sérum Éclat anti-taches, which I apply first. This makes a perfect combination to take care of my skin in the sun.

Honestly, for me the real deal begins after the sun (oops). I have a very (and I mean veeeerrry) sensitive skin. I tend to have skin rashes when it’s exposed too much to the sun, which is really annoying since it hurts and tickles. I always use after-sun, and by always I mean literally always. It’s one of my favorite scents, so I even use it when my skin isn’t exposed to any sunshine (and yes, I’m aware of the fact that it might seem a bit weird). The Garnier Ambre Solaire is my standard after-sun, but Yves Rocher also has one in their summer collection, so I change between those two at the moment.

Next to the daily routines I described earlier in this article, there are also some other products I always use. I scrub approximately once a week and besides after-sun I also like to use body butter or lotion. This summer I went for the special edition Piñita Colada collection by The Body Shop. I’m using the scrub with shredded coconut, the body butter and the hydrating sorbet. The scents are a mix of fresh pineapple and coconut. Personally I’m more a fan of coconut without pineapple, but this combination is really fresh and exotic for the summer!

Nice selection of products. Caudalie is always a must. For Yves Rocher, I did not try it but I think I’m going to buy it before leaving on vacation.
    Thanks for the advice !
